Abstract

Work productivity is the ability associated with the mental attitude of a pamong in making improvements and self-improvement in carrying out its professional duties so as to realize the hope and desire of the nation to achieve the better quality of education. The objective to be achieved by doing this research is to see the productivity measurement of pamong work and to know which variable the most dominant influence on the productivity of pamong work is. This research was conducted at Agency Early Childhood Education Development and Community Education Gorontalo 2018. To collect data in this research, field research method is used, that is research done directly to the research object. The techniques used are interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The population in this study is the civil servant, technically the writer cannot examine each tutor or individual. Where the sampling method is done by using a random sampling technique. To obtain the data needed in this study used questionnaire survey techniques. From result of regression analysis showed that work productivity is influenced by five motivation motivation, physiological requirement (X1) = 0.699, need for safety (X2) = 0.720, social needs (X3) = 0.706, need for achievement (X4) = 0.677, self-actualization needs (X5) = 0.542. While the most dominant variable affecting the productivity of the civil service is the need for a sense of security of 0.720. There is an influence of motivation and partially significant effect seen from the fifth attribute, that is a physiological requirement for count equal to (2,540), need for security for count (3,869), social requirement for count (3,163), need for achievement the value of t count is (2.294), the need for self-actualization for the value of t count is (3.127). and together influence work productivity is seen from the value of table as much as (54,490).

Abstract

Education underwent changes during the emergency period of Covid-19 spread, including Equivalency education in taking measures in response to and anticipation of Covid-19 spread, not having face-to-face learning activity, and changing to online learning. This research aimed to examine the impact of distance/online learning on Equivalency education in Indonesia. This research used quantitative method and survey approach to collect information of distance learning in equivalency education. The respondents were tutors and students of package A, package B, and package C in Sumatra Island, Java Island, and Nusa Tenggara. The research sample consisted of 129 equivalency tutors and 148 equivalence students. The data were collected via online questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics by presenting the frequency distribution. The research results show that the preparation for distance learning in the facilities and infrastructures aspects in support of learning was not optimal, as shown with low-power and uneven internet network. The learning components were prepared based on the standard determined by tutors themselves referring to the curriculum. The ability of using learning information technology was still a problem because of low digital literacy. Learning was carried out through various platforms of learning management system and social media and the seTara Daring platform prepared by the ministry of education was not used for uniformity of distance/online learning. Assignment was dominant in the learning method. Learning evaluation was carried out through presentation, questions and answers, practice, daily quiz, mid-term exam, and final exam. The inconsistent connectivity between teachers, students, and parents led to students’ affective achievement not in line with learning objective. Therefore, improvement is needed in the implementation of distance/online learning covering improved facilities, application with user friendly platforms, and efficient, continuous and integrative online socialization.

Abstract

The PISA ranking places Indonesia in 2019 at 74th, or the 6th bottom of the 79 countries surveyed. From this data alone, we can describe how low the cognitive abilities or intelligence of Indonesian students are. In the education curriculum, the government has designed special standards so that Indonesian students are increasingly trained in their cognitive abilities, and are increasingly able to solve problems well. Freedom to learn is an idea that gives freedom to educators and students in determining the learning system. The purpose of the declaration of independent learning is to create a meaningful education and emphasize aspects of skills and experiences in learning. The spirit brought by the concept of independent learning is the flexibility and freedom in designing and managing learning for educational actors, ranging from educational institutions, educators, to students. The main programs are: the ease of opening new study programs, changes to the accreditation system for higher lecturers, the convenience of state higher education institutions becoming state universities with legal entities, and the right to study for three semesters outside the study program. Students are given the freedom to take credits outside the study program, three semesters which are meant in the form of 1 semester of opportunity to take courses outside the study program and 2 semesters of participating in learning activities outside of higher education. Various forms of learning activities outside of tertiary institutions, including conducting internships/work practices in industry or other workplaces, implementing community service projects in villages, teaching in educational units, participating in student exchanges, conducting research, conducting entrepreneurial activities, conducting studies/ independent projects, and following humanitarian programs. All these activities must be carried out by students with guidance from the lecturer. The learning process at the Merdeka Campus is one of the most essential manifestations of student-centered learning. Learning in the Merdeka Campus provides challenges and opportunities for the development of innovation, creativity, capacity, personality, and student needs, as well as developing independence in seeking and finding knowledge through realities and field dynamics such as ability requirements, real problems, social interaction, collaboration, self-management, performance demands, targets and achievements. Through an independent learning program that is well designed and implemented, students' hard and soft skills will be formed strongly.
